The New York Rangers looked like they could have been contenders for a Stanley Cup. Especially after acquiring Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrick Kane ahead of the playoffs.

Unfortunately for the Rangers things didn't work out that way, after being eliminated by the New Jersey Devils in the first round. This will be a disappointing summer in the Big Apple for most of the team including the Bread Man Artemi Panarin.

Panarin was asked about what went wrong this season? Here's his answer :

"Honestly, last playoff I turn over, like, every puck," Panarin said. "This year I don't do that, not that bad I don't want to say excuses, like it's mental and I feel terrible in playoffs. Every game I come in excited, I try again and again and again. And it not work, not work, not work. I don't know."

The Rangers will have most of the team including Panarin back next season as most of the core is signed long-term. So they need to find away to put it all together in the playoffs being the window closes.
