The 2022 NHL season was a challenging one for Patrick Kane, a star player of the Chicago Blackhawks. With the team undergoing a rebuilding phase, many wondered what Kane's future held, especially with many teams vying for his talents.

Ultimately, Kane made the decision to join the New York Rangers, teaming up with Vladimir Tarasenko to make a run at the Stanley Cup. Unfortunately, the team's postseason aspirations fell short as they were eliminated in the first round by the New Jersey Devils in a game seven loss.
It was later revealed by Dan Rosen of The Athletic that Kane had been playing with an injury during his time with the Rangers. Now that the season is over and Kane is a pending unrestricted free agent, there are questions about whether he may consider returning to Chicago. When asked about this possibility, Kane offered no comment.
Kane would shutdown those rumors by saying:
Returning to Chicago? It's never crossed my mind."

Kane has had a hall a fame career winning 3 Stanley Cups in Chicago and is arguably the greatest American born player of all-time.
