The Toronto Maple Leafs have just announced that Matthew Knies has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Sam Bennett, the player who injured him with a dangerous maneuver, won't face consequences for what he did to the Leafs' rookie.

"I just think if the jerseys were reversed this play wouldn't garner any attention" - Tim Peel

Considering the consequences on Knies' health, this is bold, even for Peel.

The Department of Player Safety (DoPS) should act on it, but they won't. Whether it's legal or not shouldn't matter if the player on the receiving end is seriously injured.
