With the Minnesota Wild officially eliminated from the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at the hands of the Dallas Stars, all eyes turned to goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. The three-time Stanley Cup champion is under contract for next year, but at 38-years-old, many have been wondering if he might hang up his skates now that the Wild are out of the post-season. Fleury addressed that questions after last night's game.

When asked about his plans, Fleury made it clear he intends to play in 2023-24, but followed that up with "that might be it."

Fleury has little left to prove, and playing at this point is more a matter of wanting to than being obligated to continue. His retirement, whenever it comes, will almost surely see the netminder inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, most likely the first year he's eligible.

Fleury was mostly relegated to back up status in the post season this year, losing the starter's role to Filip Gustavsson. He did, however, play in 46 games in the regular season.
