One of the best defenceman in the league has announced his status for game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and it's fantastic news for fans of the Colorado Avalanche. Cale Makar, who missed 22 games in the regular season due to a nagging injury, told reporters today he's ready for game one against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.

Makar has not played a game since April 1st. He told reporters it was "just one of those years" where he was dealt some bad luck on the injury front. He added that he's feeling much better now.
Despite him announcing he could play, Avs coach Jared Bednar was asked about Makar's status earlier in the day, and would not budge an inch.
"No, I can't. Well I can, but I'm not going to," said Bednar. "I'm not going to give you any information on our lineup, who's healthy, not healthy, injuries. None of it."
