The Boston Bruins have set a new record for most points by a team in NHL history with a 133-point season, after defeating the Washington Capitals last night, 5-2.

Despite early injury setbacks to core players, the Bruins maintained a machine-like pace throughout the season, gaining momentum and earning a reputation for total domination.

Interestingly, the team's unexpected success was accompanied by a player-initiated coaching change. Despite Bruce Cassidy's reputation as a coaching guru, the players requested that Jim Montgomery take over, leading the team to their historic pace and potentially securing the Jack Adams award.

On the ice, the Bruins are led by their veteran core of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak, supported by skilled and experienced players such as David Kreijci and Charlie McAvoy. The team's deadline acquisitions of Tyler Bertuzzi, Garnet Hathaway, and Dmitry Orlov have strengthened their lineup, and expectations are high for a Stanley Cup victory. Anything less would be a disappointment for Bruins fans.
