According to new reports from Montreal radio broadcaster Martin McGuire, Carey Price will travel with the Montreal Canadiens to their game in Toronto tonight.

This marks the first and only time this season that Price has travelled with the team. With his career over due to injury, yet still being paid $10.5M a year until 2026, Price is in a quasi-retired state as a staple on the injury reserve.
As such, despite himself travelling with the team and their current goaltender injuries, Price will obviously not suit up for the Canadiens tonight or even serve as an emergency backup. In any capacity, Price is wholly ineligible to play. Instead, he'll likely watch the game from the press box with other injured and scratched teammates.
This instance of Price travelling with the team may also prove to be his last time spent as a Hab, taking in one last rivalry game with the Maple Leafs. As time goes on and Price is years removed from his career, and with most of the team being younger players with whom he has no connection, it's not likely Price will make frequent appearances despite being under contract.
Fans should use this opportunity just as Carey Price likely is - to take in one last rivalry game with an appearance from one of the greatest goalies in the most storied franchise's history.
