Top women's prospect in the world hurt playing in under 16 boys tournament

one of the top women's hockey prospects in the world had being playing in a boys tournament and suffered a serious injury

Nela Lopušanová, who was playing at the Under 16 Boys Championship, took a hard hit before leaving the game briefly in the second period

Dominik Halaj came in stride across the ice before delivering a hard hit. Lopušanová would bounce right up as her teammates were quick to her aid. Halaj was given 2 minutes for charging.

She would take the ice for the 3rd period before getting taken down again and seriously injuring her wrist.

After the game Lopušanová was taken to the hospital where it was found she suffered a fractured wrist. The timeline for recovery is 6 weeks.

The young phenom left the hospital with a smile on her face, which is rather customary for her.
