Kent Johnson has a remarkable track record of executing The Michigan move on various levels. He has already pulled it off successfully in the BCHL, at the World Juniors, and now at the NHL level. It has been noted that Johnson actively practices this maneuver whenever he gets the opportunity.

In the second period of the tonight's game, Johnson, a rookie for the Blue Jackets, flawlessly executed The Michigan against the New York Islanders. While coming around the puck, he deftly scooped it up and buried it over Ilya Sorokin's shoulder.

Executing The Michigan is already a noteworthy achievement, but accomplishing it against a goalie as skilled as Sorokin makes it even more impressive. After two periods, the Jackets are leading the game with a score of 4-2.
