The Boston Bruins faced off against the Montreal Canadiens last night in an intense game that saw high emotions and crossed lines.

The National Hockey League has announced that Bruins' forward, AJ Greer, will face a hearing for cross-checking Canadiens' Mike Hoffman.

After reviewing the incident, the NHL has now handed down a one-game suspension for Greer, who had already been assessed a five-minute major and game misconduct during the game.

Although the punishment seems appropriate, it is worth noting that previous similar incidents have resulted in a two-game suspension. The NHL's disciplinary actions are often criticized, and while this punishment is a step in the right direction, it is still relatively lenient compared to past incidents. However, any punishment is better than none, and it is good to see the league taking action.

Mike Hoffman has expressed his displeasure with the decision of the Department of Safety and has shared a picture of his gruesome injury on social media.
