The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced on Friday morning that they've fined Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki $2,500 for cross-checking Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell.

After a whistle late in the third period, Suzuki and Lundell were exchanging shoves before the Canadiens captain catches the 21-year-old Finn up high with a cross-check. It was initially hard to tell if Suzuki did cross-check Lundell in the head, but after several looks at the video below, with that being the only camera angle, it did confirm what the officials suspected.

Suzuki was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct on the play and upon review, the call on the ice stood. It marked the first time in his National Hockey League career thus far that Suzuki had been ejected from a game.
