Patrick Kane is entering his final days as a Chicago Blackhawk and it appears that a trade is drawing near.

According to TSN's Chris Johnston, a resolution is expected within the next 24 hours or so, although, Patrick Kane hasn't yet agreed to waive his no-movement clause to facilitate a trade.

"We're still a week from the NHL trade deadline, but word is that the Patrick Kane situation will come to a head well before then. Expect a resolution in the next 24 hours or so. I'm told that Kane hasn't waived his no-movement clause to facilitate a deal as of now.

Stay tuned." Johnston said in a tweet.

The 34-year-old is likely heading to the New York Rangers after they circled back in recent days and are reportedly nearing a deal for the 2007 first overall pick, according to Stefan Rosner of NYI Hockey Now.

According to Tracey Myers of NHL.com, the Blackhawks have announced that Patrick Kane will not take part in today's practice in San Jose, giving him a maintenance day. The Blackhawks face the Sharks at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday night, so it will be interesting to see if Kane is scratched for 'trade-related reasons', if he's still with the organization at that point.

Other than the Rangers, a handful of other teams have expressed interest in the three-time Stanley Cup champion including the Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights, the latter of whom freed up $9.5 million in cap space this week by placing Mark Stone on LTIR.
