Brad Marchand - less than a week after questioning the NHL's Department of Player Safety - might be hearing from them over a cut-and-dry slewfoot. Thursday night's matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Seattle Kraken saw a crazy finish and rowdy atmosphere in Seattle.

The B's - trailing by a goal with under four minutes - scored two goals in just over two minutes to secure the win in regulation. Truly a wild finish.

This tilt also featured its fair share of extracurricular activities. 18 PIMs were dished out all said and done, which isn't a ton in retrospect, but most of the penalties were slashing, cross-checking, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc. Non-passive penalties, we will call them.

Brad Marchand and Oliver Bjorkstrand each took a cross-checking penalty in the third, but the former got off lightly. Marchand blatantly slewfooted Bjorkstrand, sending him to the ice like a sack of potatoes.

Marchand has been fairly well-behaved this season - well, on the ice at least. It was only a matter of time before he stepped out of line, and voila! Out he stepped.

No question the NHL is aware of the situation, although no word from Player Safety - yet.
