Craig Berube Calls Out His Best Players, 'I guess they don't care about the team'
Things haven't been easy for the St. Louis Blues this season.
A team with hopes for the playoffs, the Blues are closer to a lottery pick than a playoff spot. GM Doug Armstrong has already committed to the reset button with the Ryan O'Reilly/Noel Acciari trade, so as far as most are concerned the more losses the better.
Head coach Craig Berube doesn't want to hear about that though. His team has lost four straight games after Thursday's overtime loss to the Canucks. During the post-game, Berube railed into his team, specifically his best players.
In response to a follow-up question, Berube said: "I don't know, you'll have to ask them, Jim. I guess they don't care about the team."

Berube is presumably referring to Jordan Kyrou, Robert Thomas, and Brayden Schenn in specific. Over the past four games, the trio has combined for 0 goals, 1 assist, and a -17 rating, as the Blues have gone 0-3-1 and been outscored 18-6.
Their troubles are only recent though. Generally, all three are enjoying respectable seasons, especially Kyrou who's on a point-per-game pace. His defense needs work, however. Despite his 31 5v5 points, Kyrou is a -28 on the season.
Berube has to hold his players accountable, but to go scorched earth like that is unexpected. Still, don't want to motivate those guys too bad.
They have a legitimate chance at Connor Bedard if they play their cards wrong.
