The Utica Comets, American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced on Saturday that they've traded former Boston Bruins first-rounder Zach Senyshyn to the Chicago Wolves in exchange for future considerations.

Senyshyn, 25, was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2015 (15th overall) as part of three first-round picks they had in a row. They also selected Jakub Zboril, 13th overall and Jake DeBrusk, 14th overall.

The Ottawa native's time in the Bruins organization came to an end in March 2022 at the trade deadline when he was moved to the Senators, appearing in 16 games for their AHL affiliate and a pair of games for the big club.

He became an unrestricted free agent last July and signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the New Jersey Devils, joining them for training camp and pre-season games in September. Ultimately, the Devils released him from his PTO and Senyshyn went on to sign a one-year AHL deal with the Utica Comets.

In 37 games for the Comets, Senyshyn had nine points (six goals, three assists), 20 penalty minutes and had an even-rating.
