The Buffalo Sabres have been a fun and exciting story this season.

While they remain a long shot for a playoff berth, the Sabres rank 4th in the NHL in goals-for. They are scoring at a 3.70 goals per game pace. Their big problem all season has been keeping pucks out of their net.

No disrespect to goaltenders Craig Andersen and Eric Comrie, but they are hurting in the goals-against category. Anderson actually hasn't even been all that bad this season.

Sporting a .918 save-percentage, the 41-year old is having himself a decent campaign. Still, the Sabres will rightfully be looking to store up that position moving forward.

They might have their guy in Devon Levi, the 212th pick in the 2020 draft. Levi, who plays for Northeastern University, has had an exceptional college career, posting a 1.54 goals-against average and a .952 save-percentage in his rookie season.

On Monday night, he and his teammates won The Beanpot championship with Levi making the winning save in a shootout. The #16 Huskies defeated #9 Harvard 3-2 in the shootout.

Levi is eligible to join the Sabres at the conclusion of Northeastern's season, but whether or not he would immediately make the jump is a whole other ball game. Most goalies don't hit their prime until age 23 or older. Levi is just 21. The knock on the Sabres' prized prospect is his size.

At 6'0'' 185lbs, Levi is much shorter than the prototypical NHL goaltender. That said, some smaller goalies are finding great success at the NHL level. A few that come to mind are Juuse Saros (5'11'' 180lbs) and Igor Shesterkin (6'1'' 189lbs).

But is Levi at that level?
