The ECHL is called 'The Jungle' for a reason.

The third-highest level of professional hockey in North America - after the AHL and NHL - the Coast is usually where a host of enforcers end up playing at some point in their careers. As such, PIMs tend to dominate the scoresheet.

In Saturday's contest between the Allen Americans and the Fort Wayne Komets, there were 30 PIMs assessed just to start the third period; there were 136 altogether.

Americans head coach Chad Costello was kicked from the game after a third period dust-up, and he made his exit felt as he chucked his jacket at the linesman.

It's a great sign when your coach will take the clothes off his back in protest of bad officiating. Shows character.

The Americans took a beating in this one, losing by a final score of 6-1. Frustrations were flaring all night, but never more than when Costello let it rip early in the third.
