The National Hockey League's trade deadline is less than three weeks away and one of the teams to keep an eye on is the Chicago Blackhawks. Along with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, the Blackhawks have several others that will garner interest over the next few weeks.

One of those names that has begun to draw interest is defenceman Jake McCabe, but as TSN's Pierre LeBrun reports, the Blackhawks are seeking a return that includes a first-round pick.

"Jake McCabe is drawing steady interest from contenders. Signed for 2 more years after this season at a $4M AAV. Sense from sources around league is that the asking price from Blackhawks includes a 1st-RD pick. And if Hawks retain salary making him a $2M player, price increases..." LeBrun said.

McCabe, 29, is in his second season with the Blackhawks after signing with them on the opening day of free agency in July 2021. In 47 games this season, the Eau Claire (Wisconsin) native has 15 points (two goals, 13 assists), 25 penalty minutes and is a minus-three.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, McCabe has been linked to the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
