The NHL's All-Star festivities may not have resonated entirely with everyone, but that doesn't mean there weren't some great moments along the way. Great player interviews, some highlight reel plays; lots for fans to enjoy.

One of the highlights of the entire weekend was the appearance of 4-year old Sergei Ovechkin; the son of Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin. The youngster buzzed around the ice, making for some great content including his shootout goal against Hall of Famer Roberto Luongo.

Most folks looked at that setup, and thought: "aww, what a cute moment." For others, it was...slightly more polarizing.

Alex Ovechkin and the NHL have been scrutinized with regards to the Russian invasion of Ukraine due to the future Hall of Famer's connections to the Russian President. One of the harshest critics of Ovechkin is current Hall of Famer, goaltender Dominik Hasek.

Hasek wrote a scathing review of Ovechkin's moment with his son and once again called for the ban of Russian athletes from competing in the NHL.

"The [NHL] has sunk to rock bottom! Letting Ovechkin's son perform on the ice at the NHL All-Star is spitting in the face of approximately 500 killed, thousands injured and tens of thousands of kidnapped Ukrainian children. The NHL and Gary Bettman must pay for this heinous act!"
