The National Hockey League's trade deadline is in exactly one month. The action and rumours are expected to pick up over the next couple of weeks and the goaltending market will be one to keep an eye on leading up to March 3rd.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Ottawa Senators netminder Cam Talbot has been linked to the Los Angeles Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins, both of whom could definitely benefit with some goaltending depth

"The Senators are playing better hockey, but with the playoffs likely out of reach, they could dangle Talbot to teams looking to secure their goaltending position. He's set to become a UFA this summer and Ottawa could retain some salary." Pagnotta said.

Talbot, 35, has dealt with injury issues this year, at the beginning of the season and most recently, just over a week ago, after suffering a lower-body injury. He's expected to resume skating after the All-Star break, but According to TSN's Darren Dreger, there's a chance Talbot will miss the next three-to-four weeks.

The Caledonia (Ontario) native is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. In 28 games for the Senators this season, Talbot has a record of 12-13-1 with a 2.90 GAA, a .905 save percentage and one shutout.
