After the Seattle Kraken assigned 2022 fourth overall pick Shane Wright back to the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, it was only a matter of time before he was traded to a contending team.

Well, the Shane Wright sweepstakes are reportedly over as according to Ken Campbell, his landing spot is the London Knights.

Campbell added that, while it's not confirmed yet, the Knights will acquire Wright from Kingston in exchange for 2023 NHL draft prospect Oliver Bonk, son of Radek, as well as six draft picks.

The London Knights have been on a tear since early-November. Since November 5th, the Knights have a record of 21-2-0-0 and have won their last nine in a row, sitting atop the OHL's Western Conference.

There were several teams reportedly interested in acquiring the 19-year-old, who just helped Canada win their second consecutive World Junior Championship. The Barrie Colts and Ottawa 67's were among those interested, as well as the Peterborough Petes and Sarnia Sting, although the latter two backed off after making pretty significant trades of their own in recent days.

The Ontario Hockey League's trade deadline is set for 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, January 10th.
