The saga of J.T. Miller - dating back to last season - drags on, as his new seven-year contract looks worse with each passing day. Recently, the Canucks' veteran stole the spotlight when he seemingly freaked out on backup goalie Collin Delia during a goalie-pull situation:

Miller went on to say after the fact that what happened was the team's business and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Pretty standard, stoic response.

Frank Seravalli said on a recent Daily Faceoff Rundown that Miller is gaining a reputation in the city of Vancouver and within the Canucks organization of 'being a prick.'

Full quote: "It's driven people crazy there, in that market, that he's kind of developed a reputation on that team of being a prick. And this was an example of that for everyone to see in front of everyone else," Seravalli said of the Delia-debacle.

Fast forward to the 47th minute of the DFO Rundown episode to hear Seravalli talk about J.T. Miller.

Miller's seven-year, $56 million contract - signed this past summer - kicks in at the start of the 2023-24 season, which only makes matters worse. The Canucks' season has sputtered out of the gate, and they have virtually no cap space with which to maneuver. Vancouver is a shoe-in for a top draft pick in a loaded 2023 draft class but stand little chance to make any sort of splash this season.

So, GM Patrik Allvin and President Jim Rutherford are constricted by their position, so the general feeling is that they will need to move at least one or two players for sub-market return. Miller's antics only add fuel to that fire, as they are pretty much stuck with him, for better or worse.
