The Vancouver Canucks will be one of the teams to keep an eye on leading up to the NHL's trade deadline at 3 p.m. ET on March 3rd. Two of their big name forwards, Brock Boeser and Bo Horvat, are expected to be available and both could fetch the Canucks a decent return.

Just under two weeks ago, it was revealed that Brock Boeser's agent was granted permission to speak with teams about a potential fit for his client and last week, mentioned that more than half-a-dozen teams had expressed interest.

One of the teams that is reportedly interested in the 25-year-old is the Montreal Canadiens, according to CHEK TV's Rick Dhaliwal.

"People seem to think Montreal has interest in Boeser." Dhaliwal said. "Someone told me the Canucks and the Habs talked a couple of weeks ago and this is me purely speculating, but Sean Monahan is a contract that is exactly what the Canucks would find attractive in a Boeser trade."

Boeser, a native of Burnsville (Minnesota), has appeared in 22 games for the Canucks this season recording 16 points (four goals, 12 assists), ten penalty minutes and is a minus-14. He has two more seasons on his contract following the 2022-23 campaign at a cap hit of $6.67 million.
