The Chicago Blackhawks will be a team to watch leading up to the trade deadline on March 3rd. They'll have plenty of players available, including Max Domi and Andreas Athanasiou, but none bigger than the duo of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.

While the Blackhawks are open to move on from Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, both of whom are unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, the team isn't sure if the pair will be willing to waive their no-trade clause ahead of 3 p.m. ET on March 3rd, according to Scott Powers of The Athletic.

"The Blackhawks are open to trading Kane and Toews, but it doesn't sound like their front office is convinced Kane and Toews will actually ask to be traded. It's one thing to put a lot of thought into being moved, it's another to ask to execute it." Powers said.

He added, "Time will tell, but the Blackhawks are prepared for Kane and Toews to ride out this season in Chicago. The Blackhawks aren't going to pressure them into leaving."

Powers went on to say that there are people within the Blackhawks organization that believe Patrick Kane is more likely to leave than Jonathan Toews.

Kane and Toews have spent their entire 16-year career in the NHL with the Blackhawks. Toews, who was drafted third overall in 2006, has 866 points in 1,038 games, while Kane, the first overall pick in 2007, has put up 1,200 points in 1,131 games.

No matter what happens leading up to the trade deadline or in free agency in July, both players will likely find their numbers hanging from the rafters at the United Center one day, after they retire.
