Arguably the single-largest trade discussion so far in the 2022-23 season has been the fate of Chicago Blackhawks' legend Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks are completely out of their contention window, and Kane has no plans on hanging around long-term.

At least, that's what the discourse around the subject would lead one to believe.

Kane's camp has maintained that there is no rush in facilitating a trade, but his full no-move clause places the ball entirely in Kane's court. So where does Patrick Kane want to finish out the season? Ryan Whitney of the Spittin' Chiclets podcast has one idea...

It should be noted that Whitney is a) a lifelong Bruins fan and b) not an insider, so don't put a world of stock in this. However, he does make a valid point in that it could be done and there is most certainly a fit.

Whitney clarified: "This is not as crazy as it sounds. Get rid of Reilly get rid of Smith and Chicago retains half salary and boom kane is a Bruin. He has a NMC and will decide where he wants to go. Why not go to the best team in the league. Blackhawks will have no say."

The Bruins are clearly equipped to make a run at the Stanley Cup, their locker room is on of the league's tightest, and Kane's addition would put them right over the top. Plus, going from one Original Six team to another could be something for which Kane is looking.
