The Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins are set to head outdoors at Fenway Park in just over a month and on Friday, both teams unveiled the uniforms they'll be wearing for the event.

Earlier this week, Boston's jersey for the Winter Classic leaked. Boston will be sticking with their classic black and gold/yellow look. On the front of the jersey, it features and arched 'BOSTON' wordmark and under that, they're using an old shoulder patch which was worn on their uniforms from 1976 to 1995.

As for the Penguins, the inspiration for their uniform comes from the first NHL team in Pittsburgh, the Pirates, who played from 1925 to 1930. They will be wearing a cream-base with black as the accent colour, which includes two black stripes through the middle of the chest, as well as a thick black band at the bottom. The logo featured on the front is a recoloured block 'P', worn by the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1925 to 1928.

Normally, the Winter Classic is played on January 1st, but to avoid conflicting schedules and TV viewership with the NFL, the game will be played on January 2nd at 2 p.m. ET.
