AJ Greer Publicly Slams Fan Who Sent Him Homophobic Message
A.J. Greer's absolute beatdown of Vasily Podkolzin on Sunday night was the subject of criticism from Canucks fans and others alike. Greer pummeling a 21-year old with zero career NHL fights isn't exactly 'tough guy' behavior.
In his defense though, he looked more than willing to fight Luke Schenn shortly before but Schenn never obliged.
While many fans voiced their dissatisfaction with the Bruins' forward, some people just take things too far and frankly nonsensically so. One fan sent him a private message on Instagram, which Greer publicly called out. Rightfully so.
Greer probably could have just let it go and allowed this individual to go on unnoticed. But good on him for putting him in his place.
There is just no spot in the game for behavior like that.
