Robin Lehner's injury left the Vegas Golden Knights in a precarious position, or so we thought. With the goaltending trio of Logan Thompson, Adin Hill, and Laurent Brossoit, many folks - myself included, admittedly - felt that the Vegas Golden Knights would seriously struggle out of the gate.

How very, incredibly wrong we all were. Logan Thompson and Adin Hill have allowed the fourth-fewest goals in the NHL with 37. Combined, they've backstopped the Golden Knights to a 13-3 record, tied for 1st in the NHL with the Boston Bruins.

As such, Robin Lehner has become expendable and - according to Dan Rosen of NHL.com - could be shipped out of town, sooner or later. The Vegas Golden Knights salary cap situation needs no clarification, and with the ascendance of Thompson and Hill, Lehner's $5.5 million - LTIR or not - has become a top concern.

For now, however, his trade value reflects nothing close to his true value, so in all likelihood McCrimmon waits out the season and into the summer, hopefully upping the potential return.

Still, if the Golden Knights are looking as dominant three months from now as they do out of the gate, McCrimmon could develop a deadline package, bolstering his team ahead of the playoffs. Decisions, decisions...
