Edmonton Oilers' forward Evander Kane was cut by the skate of Tampa Bay Lightning Forward Pat Maroon. Kane was on the ice following a hit, when Maroon's skate seemed to cut Kane's forearm/wrist area. The following video may be gruesome for some viewers:

Kane immediately jumped to his skates and made his way for the locker room. Players from both teams were motioning for the Tampa team doctor. The officials blew the play dead immediately.

It's unclear at this time the extent of the cut, but Kane was bleeding immediately. We've seen injuries like this in the past, and it's rarely ever good news. Hopefully, Kane will be on the mend ASAP.
