Kaprizov's OT Winner Sinks the Canucks, Who are the League's Last Winless Team

After blowing four multi-goal leads to start the season, the Vancouver Canucks took a step forward tonight when they only managed to blow two one-goal leads. Baby steps, but steps all the same. Nothing is going right in Vancouver to start off the 2022-23 NHL season, and it feels like something's got to give sooner or later.

The Canucks are now 0-3-2 and are the only team in the NHL without a win. Tonight's game against the Minnesota Wild saw them gain a lead and surrender it shortly after. Their first lead lasted just :13 seconds, and their second lead just five minutes. And it wouldn't take long with the powerplay in overtime for Kirill Kaprizov to plant the dagger.

Warning for Canucks fans: this sequence is messy.

Be nice to your Canuck-fan friends tonight. They are going through it. Unless you are an optimist -- like me -- and are pondering the possibility of Connor Bedard falling to the Canucks. He is a lifelong fan, after all.

On a more serious note, Vancouver is in shambles right now, and -- while it's early -- this is the type of start that can snowball out of control. Reports surfaced the other day that the Canucks' dressing room was divided, which could usher in some changes. What GM Patrik Allvin has planned, however, is beyond me. He does not have the luxury of time, unfortunately.
