Trent Frederic Levels Alex DeBrincat, Called for Boarding (VIDEO)
Tonight's game between Ottawa and Boston has been a barn-burner since square one. The two sides combined for 11 goals through the first two periods, and the emotions ran high all the way through.
On top of a flurry of goals, there has been some physicality as well. Perhaps, most notably when Boston's Trent Frederic caught Senators' forward Alex DeBrincat off guard and dumped him into the boards.
The hit looked a little iffy at first, and the refs thought so too; Frederic was assessed a minor boarding penalty.
DeBrincat would go through the appropriate medical checks, but he would stay in the game. That was some serious contact, though, and DeBrincat is fortunate he walked away unscathed.
