The Pittsburgh Penguins embarked on their first road game of the 2022-23 season, which saw them visit the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre on Monday night.

Monday night's tilt saw the return of former Canadiens defenceman Jeff Petry, who spent parts of eight seasons with the Habs, recording 248 points (70 G, 178 A) in 508 regular season games. His tenure in Montreal included four straight seasons of 40+ points.
Petry was traded this summer alongside former first round pick Ryan Poehling to the Penguins for Mike Matheson and a 2023 fourth round pick.
To honour Petry for his service to the Canadiens, the team gave the 34-year-old a video tribute during the first TV timeout on Monday night, which can be seen in the Tweet below. Petry can be seen saluting the crowd following the video, despite the fans booing him every time he touched the puck.
