According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Buffalo Sabres have placed depth forward Anders Bjork on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Bjork, 26, was a healthy scratch for Buffalo's first two games of the 2022-23 season. He appeared in 58 games for the Sabres last year, putting up eight points (five goals, three assists), 10 penalty minutes and was a minus-14.

The Mequon (Wisconsin) native was apart of the trade that sent Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar from Buffalo to Boston in April 2021.

In other related news, forward Sonny Milano has cleared waivers and has been assigned to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
