The New Jersey Devils started off their season in poor fashion, as they fell to the Philadelphia Flyers by a 5-2 final. Suffice to say, they aren't happy about it.

While the Devils are by no means expected to be world beaters this season, their fans are hoping to see some improvement after years of struggles. The Flyers are a team they should be able to defeat, but on Thursday, they looked very inferior. After the game, Miles Wood wasn't shy in expressing his feelings on the poor start.

"I'm just sick and tired of being on a bad team, that's the thing that stinks the most," Wood said. "Tomorrow is a must-win game for us and it's my job to get the guys going."

Despite being limited to just three games last season, Wood has been a part of several underwhelming Devils rosters, as he has been a member of their team since the 2016-17 season. Clearly, the losing is getting to him, but he deserves plenty of credit for voicing his displeasure while being sure not to throw anyone individually under the bus. He and his teammates will look to be better tomorrow night when they take on the Detroit Red Wings.
