Hockey Canada is in the news for a breaking story everyday, and for all the wrong reasons. Currently spinning its wheels in the middle of a grand inquiry over the organization has managed at least three sexual assault scandals, with evidence of more surfacing each day.

Corporate sponsors are dropping like flies, and the Canadian people are demanding a change of leadership. Hockey Canada, however, has dug in its position, maintaining that its current leadership is fit to stand pat.
The inherent oxymoron of 'championing change while changing nothing' is not lost on me.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, today, suggested that the federal government could intervene, and even replace Hockey Canada if that is what it takes.
"There needs to be wholesale change," Trudeau told reporters in Ottawa. "They need to realize that if we have to create an organization, get rid of Hockey Canada, and create an organization called 'Canada Hockey' instead, people will look at doing that."

Hockey Canada is getting all the press here, but the focus of the issue cannot gravitate. What is paramount above all else is the protection of people from those who seek to abuse the power they wield and accountability of the perpetrators.
While Hockey Canada's executive board holds its position, they continue to lose ground all over, their chances at longevity withering each day.
Still developing, this story will surely be updated over the coming weeks.
