Despite only playing nine games since early 2020, 555-game NHL veteran Jason Garrison is back in the game.

On Monday, the Chicago Wolves announced that they've signed Garrison to a professional try-out contract (PTO) as the team is set to open training camp this week.

Garrison, 37, appeared in nine games with the Syracuse Crunch in the middle of last season after signing a PTO in December. He didn't record any points and had two penalty minutes. The White Rock (British Columbia) native also spent time last season behind the bench with the University of Minnesota-Duluth as an assistant coach.

In 555-career NHL games with Florida, Vancouver, Tampa Bay, Vegas and Edmonton, Garrison has 160 points (49 goals, 111 assists), 229 penalty minutes and is a plus-36.
