Toronto Maple Leafs defensemen Rasmus Sandin recently signed a bridge contract with the club after a contentious contract negotiation. No doubt, that was a stressful period for the 22-year old Swede, not knowing what his year would look like.

As it were, Sandin needed to look outward for ways to keep his mind occupied. According to Jonas Siegel -- Leafs' correspondent for The Athletic -- Sandin went foraging in the woods for a specific type of mushroom to clear his head.

Totally normal thing to do when negotiating millions of dollars.

According to one site, chanterelle mushrooms are highly nutritious and thrive in hot, damp climates, usually found near water. They are also apparently highly versatile, able to pair with lots of other foods in preparation.

Personally, I am not a huge mushroom guy. But good on Rasmus for getting out there, making sure there is no shortage of chanterelles.
