Buffalo Sabres set to bring back famous logo/uniforms as an alternate jersey this season

The Buffalo Sabres announced on Wednesday that they are bringing back their black and red 'goathead' uniforms for the 2022-23 season as their new alternate jerseys.

"This season, the team will wear the third jersey, modeled after the primary uniforms the team wore from 1996 until 2006, for 12 home games during the 2022-23 campaign. The new uniform will be fully revealed in early November." The Sabres said via their official team website.

The new-old uniform will make its debut on November 23rd against the St. Louis Blues which is '90s Night for the team. Buffalo will also wear the jersey during the following eleven games:

- December 4th vs San Jose
- December 13th vs Los Angeles
- December 23rd vs Tampa Bay
- December 29th vs Detroit
- January 7th vs Minnesota
- January 21st vs Anaheim
- February 26th vs Washington
- March 4th vs Philadelphia
- March 11th vs New York R
- March 24th vs New Jersey
- April 13th vs Ottawa

Black and red 'goathead' merchandise is available for sale now on the Buffalo Sabres' official team store, with the jersey being available to buy in November.
