Team Canada advanced past Czechia yesterday afternoon, sending them onward to the gold medal game tonight. The very last order of business was the handshake line with their opponent, but a small altercation transpired before its conclusion. Brennan Othmann (NYR) has been in the mix the whole tournament, dropping huge hits and maintaining his physical presence the whole way.

Othmann started off jawing with Czechia forward Michal Gut, but it quickly turned to shoving:

Othmann is going to fit right into the Rangers' room. They are building a no-BS, rough-and-tumble group with a very high compete level. In the same light, there is also a lot of skill in the Rangers' system, so the moves made by Chris Drury and Jeff Gorton before him.

The memes have basically created themselves after four different Rangers' prospects were ejected from World Junior play. Memes comparing their ejections to newly-appointed captain Jacob Trouba, whose hits this season drew some complaints from opposing fanbases.

Othmann is sure to be back in the fray against Team Finland with the gold medal on the line. Both teams will want to set the tone early, so I expect one or two big hits early on from the Rangers' prospect.
