Hockey Quebec wrote a letter today to its members over the recent Hockey Canada scandals. Scandals in which player registration funds were used to settle sexual assault settlements.

In the letter, Hockey Quebec informed its members that leaders from the 13 provincial hockey federations, all members of Hockey Canada, called for an 'extraordinary meeting' with Hockey Canada and its leaders to address the matter. The point of focus being gathering the details on the case, how it was handled, and the role Hockey Canada leadership played once the proper authorities were notified.

Hockey Quebec threatened to withhold player registration fees if Hockey Canada declines this meeting, citing growing concerns over the current administration of Canadian hockey's governing body.

As Rick Westhead mentions, a new survey showed that almost three-quarters of Canadians do not support the usage of player registration fees to settle sexual assault claims. Further, more than half of voters recently indicated they have no confidence in the current Hockey Canada administration.

Hockey Canada has the pressure coming in from all sides, and it would be a real shock if the current administration is not replaced by the new year. A petition calling for CEO Scott Smith's removal is circulating the web, and with the number of inquiries into the organization, it's a matter of time before the dominoes start to fall.
