Minnesota Wild superstar Kirill Kaprizov reportedly is going to be safe from Russia after allegedly purchasing a fake military ID in 2017.

According to the Athletic's Michael Russo, Kaprizov left Russia last week. He went through Turkey and arrived in New York City this weekend, before flying back to Minnesota on Tuesday.

Along with this, Russo also reports that the allegations against Kaprizov have mostly been proven wrong. Since he is a student of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, he is able to put off his military obligations.

It has not been said whether the Wild were able to get him back into the U.S. via a work visa or if it was his representatives in Russia working behind the scenes. Either way, this is huge for both the Minnesota Wild and the NHL.
