Despite having been recently traded out of the division to the Florida Panthers, the bad blood between Matthew Tkachuk and Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane appears to be ongoing.

Tkachuk, 24, was recently traded from the Calgary Flames to the Panthers, meaning that he and Kane, who joined the Oilers midway through the 2021-22 season, didn't get to see much of each other in the Battle of Alberta. In that short time, however, including a second-round playoff matchup, the two quickly became enemies, and it appears their newfound rivalry won't be coming to an end anytime soon.

On Friday morning, the NHL put out a post on their official Instagram page, stating that the Panthers now have «The Tkachuk Effect». It also provided a quote from Tkachuk himself in which he stated he hopes to put an end to the success of the Tampa Bay Lightning and in turn, bring success to his new club. Clearly, Kane isn't buying it, as he replied to the post with a simple «lol».

As you can imagine, Kane's comment has already gotten plenty of response, both from those in support of him and those who strongly disagree. Regardless of one's thoughts on either player, there is no denying that this type of content helps grow the game, which is exactly what the NHL and fans of the league want to happen.
