Per Greg Wyshynski of ESPN, multiple sources have confirmed that Adidas will not return as the NHL's official uniform & apparel supplier once their contract expires in 2023-24.

The NHL signed a seven-year deal with Adidas in 2017, plus the uniforms & apparel rights for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. It was reportedly Adidas, not the NHL, who opted out of a renewal. It was also reported at the start of the deal that Adidas paid roughly double for the NHL rights than what Reebok paid before them.

There is no word on who the NHL might seek as Adidas' replacement. The obvious choice is CCM/Reebok, who previously held the rights. Nike also makes sense, and you could make an outside case for Under Armour. But for now, enjoy those Reverse Retro jerseys!
