The Montreal Canadiens will hold their development camp starting on Sunday at their practice facility in Brossard, with on-ice sessions beginning on Monday and running through Wednesday.

2022 first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky headlines the development camp roster, along with 2022 26th overall pick Filip Mesar. All eleven players selected at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft will be participating. Along with Slafkovsky and Mesar, Owen Beck, Cedrick Guindon, Vinzenz Rohrer, Adam Engstrom, Lane Hutson, Petteri Nurmi, Miguel Tourigny, and Emmett Croteau will be in attendance.

Other notable names participating include Justin Barron, Frederik Dichow, Jayden Struble, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, Joshua Roy, Arber Xhekaj, Riley Kidney, among others.

2020 first round pick Kaiden Guhle is on the roster, dealing with an injury and won't participate in any on-ice activities.

Controversial 2021 first round pick Logan Mailloux has also been invited to development camp, but won't participate due to an injury. The Canadiens selected Mailloux with the 31st overall pick last summer, one week after he told teams he wanted to not be selected, saying he wanted to focus on bettering himself. Mailloux was charged in Sweden after "distributing an offensive photo without consent during a consensual sexual encounter."

There is also one notable absence from the upcoming camp. 2020 second round pick Jan Mysak will not be in attendance in Brossard according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports. Lavoie says that Mysak will be participating at Czechia's World Junior training camp next week and will be captain of the team at the tournament in Edmonton next month.
