Hockey players are some of the toughest athletes in the world. They put their bodies through anything and play injured just to have a chance to lift the Stanley Cup at the end of the season.

During St. Louis' season-ending media availability, forward Brayden Schenn revealed that he played with three different sets of broken ribs throughout the 2021-22 season.

In addition to that, Schenn also mentioned that he suffered a torn oblique muscle. It's unclear if or when Schenn may undergo surgery to repair his oblique.

The Blues saw their season come to an end on Friday following a Game 6 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in the second round. Despite his injuries, Schenn played pretty well during the regular season and in the playoffs. He put up 58 points in 62 regular season games, and added eight assists in twelve playoff games.
