Despite sitting atop of Group B with a 3-1-0-0 record through four games, Sweden is adding to their goaltending group, as well as a defenceman.

This morning, Tre Kronor announced that Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark and Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Marcus Pettersson will join up with the team and be ready to play this weekend.

Note: the following is translated from Swedish.

"Ready for the World Cup! 💥💥

Then we say a warm welcome to goalkeeper Linus Ullmark, Boston Bruins, and defender Marcus Pettersson, Pittsburgh Penguins. The NHL stars join Tre Kronor's World Cup squad and will be ready to play this weekend."

Pettersson, 26, last represented Sweden at the 2019 World Championship where he had one assist in eight games. As for Ullmark, he hasn't been with the Swedish national team since the 2014 World Championship, where he served as the team's third goalie and didn't appear in any games, but won a bronze medal.

Sweden will be back in action on Saturday morning at 5:20 a.m. ET/12:20 p.m. local against the United States.
