Details are scarce at the moment, but according to ISport.cz, Czechia forward Dominik Simon has left the national team at the World Championship following an incident with defenceman Filip Hronek.

Earlier on Tuesday, Czechia General Manager Petr Nedved announced that Simon had left for personal reasons and that the team was adding Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak to their roster.

Note: the following is translated from Czech.

"Immediately, speculation began about what had happened, for example, there was talk that there was to be an incident in the cabin, in which Dominik Simon and Filip Hronek were supposed to be involved. The daily Sport tried to verify the information with the player's agent Michal Sivek." ISport.cz said.

Simon's agent responded to the report by saying, "Dominik left the World Cup for personal reasons and don't be angry, I wouldn't want to comment further either. I would ask everyone to respect Dominik's privacy."

Czechia, without Dominik Simon, lost their first-ever game at the senior men's level against Austria in a shootout on Tuesday. They'll be back in action on Thursday at 1:20 p.m. ET against Latvia.
