Rochester Americans' F Ben Homlstrom has been suspended for 8 games after he used a slur directed at a Utica Comets' players.

GM Jason Karmanos also condemned the players' remarks:

As of now, that is all the information available to the public. So it is unclear exactly what was said, but the League felt it was very serious. As mentioned in the first tweet, Holmstrom will also be undergoing diversity education while serving his suspension, for which he has already served two games.
