Things got a bit heated at Calgary Flames practice on Friday morning. Forward Blake Coleman and defenceman Erik Gudbranson got into it, shoved each other and exchanged words before being separated by teammates. Coleman pushed Gudbranson first, before being shoved to the ice, then Gudbranson broke his stick over the net and the pair continued to shove back and forth.

The Flames have dropped their last two games, losing to Colorado on Tuesday, and Los Angeles on Thursday night, but for the most part the team has looked good. They still lead the Pacific division with 89 points, five points up on the Kings, who are second.

After practice, Flames head coach Darryl Sutter commented on the incident, and wasn't too worried about it at all.

"It's good. It's a contact sport. Those two guys that were banging each other around? Those are two bangers, right? We need some of them guys that are pillow fighting to do a little bit of that." He said.

Calgary will look to snap their mini two-game slide on Saturday night when they host the St. Louis Blues on Hockey Night in Canada. Puck drop is set for 10 p.m. ET on CBC and Sportsnet.
