Taylor Hall Fined For Roughing; Tanner Jeannot Fined For Kneeing

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has reprimanded both Taylor Hall & Tanner Jeannot this morning. The decision comes one day after each incident, and one outcome is more surprising than the other.

Jeannot's fine is a bit surprising, as his tripping penalty on Brady Tkachuk seemed sufficient. However, knee-on-knee collisions often result injury, so the League likely wants to send a message. Here's the video:

Taylor Hall, however, is another story. After the incident in last night's Boston/Toronto matchup, it was believed that Hall would receive a suspension. This was not the case, as the NHL's DoPS felt Hall's actions were not suspension-worthy & instead a fine would do. In case you missed it, here's the incident in question:
